Ghana has been quiet for a couple of months due to the global pandemic which has caused the falling of Ghana Music Industry and globally at large.
It only takes a stronger art to stand out in these times of global lock down. There are only few Ghanaian Artists who have been able to survive with their musical career and still releasing hit after hit. These artists including the CEO of Sarkcess Music, Sarkodie, the Boss of Bhim Nation Stonebwoy, the WestSide King Kofi Kinata, Slim Gee of Extra Gold Entertainment and among others.
In an interview with Dj Taifa on Entertainment Arena, Saturday 18th July 2020 on one of central regional finest radio Coastal 94.9 FM, Slim Gee disclosed the reason why most artists from Central Region have not been able to survive in their musical career and most importantly in these crisis times.
He said ” most of central regional artists lacks formal composition of lyrics and do not have enough time to research and learn different stuffs to add up to their music”
He added that, artist in central region can be equally be good as that of the Western Regional artists if they pay good attention to their musical works. He said “Sometimes people mistakenly think i sound like Kofi Kinata due to the lyrical likeness and message my music portray”. According to Slim Gee his current song titled AFA prod. by Willis Beat, which was released just a week to two ago has got airplay even in this Pandemic times. Though he hasn’t release an album yet but all his singles are very powerful in the industry and he believes that Central region has got his back right from the onset to this far.
He finally edged all Ghanaians and his fan base to keep supporting him and much of him is on the way.
