“One of those nights, anxiety was kicking my ass, and I couldn’t sleep. Got a lot on my mind,” Nyovest wrote in the caption of a photo of himself during a run. “With sponsors and TV partners pulling out this fight, it’s gonna take a miracle to turn it around, but I ain’t give up just yet.”

Nyovest, real name Refiloe Phoolo, added that instead of tossing and turning all night, he opted to go for a run. In another social media post, the Gusheshe hitmaker said SuperSport was one of the sponsors who allegedly pulled out from the fight when asked if it would be televised.

The two rappers were expected to fight it out at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria on 1 October. Cassper previously fought and lost against musician and actor Anga Makhubalo, better known as Naak Musiq, in the April 2022 Celeb City Boxing Exhibition at Sun City.

Meanwhile, Priddy Ugly, real name Ricardo Moloi, said he could not wait to end Cassper’s arrogance.

“I can’t wait to put an end to all your arrogance, your fam[ily] is going to have to pardon these knuckles because kgale o rasa (you’ve been making noise for long,” Priddy Ugly wrote in response to a comment by Cassper. “I’m gonna silence it all on behalf of the people; I know they’re tired of it too.”
