Ghanaian award-winning duo, R2Bees has denied ever performing and receiving performance fees from Bullet as Ebony’s father claims.
According to Nana Opoku Kwarteng, Bullet submitted expenses for Ebony Reigns’ tribute concert held in her honour on March 23, but he doubts.

Nana Opoku claimed 9 artistes reportedly received performance fees before stepping on the stage to honour Ebony.

He claimed Edem received 3,000 cedis, Keche received 3,000 cedis, Captain Planet received 2,000, Coded received 1,000 cedis, R2bees received 3,000, Ras Kuku received 1,000 cedis, Raquel received 1000 cedis, Kurl Songx received 1,000 and Episode received 700 cedis.

Reacting to this claim, the manager for the duo, Gomi, has denied ever receiving cash or even performing at the event.

He told Pulse.com.gh in an exclusive interview that on the night of the tribute concert, they were in Cape Coast in the Central region for the 2018 VGMA Nominees Jam.

“Immediately after our performance, we drove to Kumasi for the KNUST Repu Hall Week celebration scheduled for the following day,” he said.

“We were never going to perform, plus, no one offered us money,” he concluded.

Edem, Keche, Captain Planet, Coded, Ras Kuku, Kurl Songx and Episode have also denied taking any cash for Ebony’s tribute concert.
